The war will leave a mark in the life of each of us. Surviving is not enough. It is necessary to return to the usual life with a healthy head. Especially to our defenders, who went through hell, which was forever etched in their memory.
In order to preserve the mental health of military personnel, it is important to provide appropriate psychological support. They worry about us on the battlefield. We have to worry about them here.
If the bullet wound is instantaneous, then “invisible wounds” – mental disorders – may appear some time after the traumatic event. Therefore, it is necessary to “vaccinate” the fighters with the appropriate knowledge in order to preserve their mental health.
In this project, we try to teach the necessary psychological skills to the military:
- how to help a fellow soldier overcome an acute stress reaction on the battlefield;
- how to stabilize your emotional condition;
- how to restore internal resources;
- how to find motivation and not lose it;
- how to deal with emotional burnout;
- how to interact effectively in a team;
- how to prevent conflicts;
- how to deal with complaints;
- how to keep personal boundaries;
- how to cope with loss;
- how to deal with survivor's guilt;
- what to do with obsessive dreams and night terrors;
- how to identify signs of suicidal behavior;
- how to support family relationships;
- how to control addictions.
Main directions:
- psychological trainings for recruits;
- psychological relief program for combatants at the stage of recovery after participating in active hostilities;
- individual consultations of soldiers with psychologists.
